Liquid, dense, unpredictable. It’s in the realm of flow that Pedro Teixeira Prandini
finds his voice. More than just a painter—a true alchemist of color—he
orchestrates controlled chaos, turning spills into abstract landscapes that echo
the labyrinths of the human mind.
From childhood, Pedro Prandini’s life was steeped in art. The Waldorf educational
approach, with its emphasis on creative freedom and the exploration of diverse
materials, sparked in him an insatiable curiosity and a deep appreciation for
experimentation. Knitting, wood, metal, ceramic painting, watercolor, and other
drawing techniques were the first steps on a journey that would eventually lead
him to abstraction.
Although he didn’t complete his studies in Graphic Design and Fine Arts, Pedro
absorbed the knowledge and experiences that helped shape his unique style.
From 2010 to 2020, he dedicated himself to painting on fabrics—developing
innovative techniques and honing his mastery of color. From there, his quest for
new materials led him to explore the potential of recycled objects and resins like
epoxy, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Today, Pedro devotes himself to researching and developing paint-pouring
techniques combined with other materials. The result is artwork that evokes
dreamlike landscapes, complex textures, and bubble effects that challenge
perception. For Pedro, abstract art is a portal to the inner world—a way to
express feelings and mental states that transcend words.
Pedro’s style is defined by freedom and experimentation. His vibrant, dynamic
works reveal an artist who fully embraces the creative process, letting paint flow
freely across the canvas. The unpredictability of the final result is an integral part
of his poetic vision—a reminder that art is a collaboration between the artist and
chance.
His work has been widely recognized, making its mark in major national and
international exhibitions. Notable shows include Ponto de Partida, held at both
Cassino Atlântico and Galeria Ava at Fábrica Bhering in Rio de Janeiro; ARGUS –
AVARIO ARTFAIR at Cidade das Artes, also in Rio; and Diversity of Brazilian Art in
Varkaus, Finland. Pedro has also had his work exhibited at Pop Up Art in The
Coast Gallery in São Paulo. His art has crossed borders with the series Diversas
Expressões, showcased at Galeria Ava in Rio de Janeiro and in Varkaus, Finland,
as well as Various Expressions, which gained recognition in Berlin, Germany.
