For many years, Rute Collar carried within her a silence full of color. Born

in Santa Fé, a small town in Paraná, Brazil, and living in Araguari, Minas

Gerais for over four decades, she always felt art quietly pulsing in her

heart. But like so many women, Rute put her dreams on hold to meet the

demands life placed on her at the time. It wasn’t until 2018 that she

finally decided to listen to the soft voice that had been whispering for

years: “It’s time to paint.”

Her new beginning came gently — first through online courses, then in-

person classes. But once she realized her soul craved freedom, she knew

she didn’t just want to repeat someone else’s brushstrokes — she

wanted to create her own. For Rute, painting was never just about

technique; it was a language, a way to fly. And so emerged a self-taught

artist who dared to color her own path with courage and authenticity.

Each of Rute’s paintings is a burst of energy, an explosion of life. Her work

carries the vibrant spirit of someone who no longer waits for the “right”

moment — because she’s discovered that the right moment is the one

when you dare to begin.

In diving into paint, she found something deeper than beauty — she

found meaning. Her colors are as intense as the emotions she held

inside for so long. Her forms are as free as the thoughts that now have

room to become visual poetry.

Rute Collar’s journey is the kind that speaks directly to the soul — gently

reminding us that it’s never too late to bloom. Time may move forward,

but dreams born in the heart don’t vanish; they simply rest, waiting for

the moment they’re ready to awaken. And sometimes, all they need is a

single act of courage to grow wings.

Rute’s work feels like a window into a world where joy and freedom

intertwine. Her compositions overflow with color and vitality — as if every

brushstroke were a breath of renewed life. There’s something intuitive,

almost magical, in her paintings: a blend of sensitivity and spirit that

transforms the way we see. These are works that don’t just captivate —

they touch, embrace, and awaken. It’s as if, in every hue, the artist has

poured a piece of her essence and her light.
