Farley is one of those rare creators who carries in his hands both the knowledge that
heals and the brush of contemplation.
Born in Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, his journey is a deep crossing between the wisdom of
medicine and the mystery of art, between caring for the body and nurturing the soul.
With degrees in Biological Sciences, Nursing, and Medicine, Farley has walked through
spaces where human suffering echoes loudly: hospitals, forgotten borders, indigenous
villages deep in the Amazon rainforest. Through these experiences, he learned that there
are wounds no medicine can heal — and that art, with its silent light, can reach places
science cannot. His gaze, once trained to study biology, now also seeks out the human
spirit; the hands that once healed the body now wield brushes and words to heal the soul.
His artistic path didn’t begin in the traditional halls of art academies — though he would
later formalize his practice with studies in Painting. Instead, it was born earlier, from a
deep listening to others, from a visceral immersion in social outreach, from respectfully
learning indigenous medicine, and breathing alongside the Amazon's vibrant life. These
aren’t just themes in his work; they are the lifeblood, the very roots that anchor it. The
forest, with its eloquent silences and fierce resilience, and the communities guarding
ancient wisdom, have become intrinsic to his artistic and existential palette.
Of course, the echoes of the masters can be felt. The emotional intensity of Van Gogh, the
ethereal light of Monet and Vermeer, the dreamlike architecture of Dalí, and the symbolic
ornamentation of Klimt — all drift through as distant constellations in the vast sky of his
inspiration. Yet Farley firmly rejects mere imitation. His pursuit is one of radical
authenticity, a soul’s fingerprint uniquely his own. The influences are absorbed,
transformed, and dissolved into the singular chemistry of his voice, emerging not as
replicas, but as transmuted dialogues, unmistakably his.
Acrylics, digital media, and the written word — all are materials for his creative gesture.
His canvases sprout with social and environmental questions like seeds: inequality,
corruption, environmental degradation. Farley doesn’t just paint scenes; he paints
questions. The Amazon — where he once cared for indigenous peoples — breathes
through his colors. The silent struggles of the forgotten pulse through his compositions.
The raw yearning for redemption stretches from the pages of his fiction books to the
vibrant images he brings to life with paint.
