"My Block" is a reflection on both the solidity and fragility of urban life. Using three-
dimensional assemblage, the artist brings together wood, concrete, and various
objects to create a poetic narrative about the everyday experiences of big cities—
their fragments, ruins, and intertwined memories.
The title can evoke notions of home, the street, the community, or the crowd. In this
contrast between weight and lightness, the work suggests an intimate archaeology
of the city.
Each material carries the passage of lived time: wood, concrete, objects with
histories. “My Block” is not just a structure—it is also emotion, memory, and an
attentive listening to what so often goes unnoticed.
