Desire for beauty

There is no pamphlet-like rhetoric in his

work. What exists is respect, wonder, and

silence. Each brushstroke feels like an

offering to the forest, a gesture of humility

before something that cannot be measured

or controlled. By turning the jaguar into a

symbol, Paolillo acknowledges that symbols

are never exhausted — they only multiply in

meaning.

Between the Colonel and the Artist, the man

who dared to see with different eyes

prevailed. The one who left the trenches to

walk unarmed through the soul of the forest.

And who now invites us to do the same.

Because there are questions only art can

ask — and there are gazes, like Armando’s

jaguar, that never stop watching.
